Created developer tools, APIs, and new user features for ESS-DIVE: a data archive for scientists in the ecological domain. Also worked to advance the capabilities of Jupyter on the NERSC scientific computing system at LBL, with the aim of enhancing scientific workflow and providing domain scientists with a user friendly interface.

Served as a peer tutor in Cabrillo College's physics department, working with students of all levels to help them better understand their course material. Worked with students either in groups or one-on-one, offering help with homework sets, conducting experiments, working through and checking off weekly lab assignments, and also providing mini-lectures and insight sessions on the material.

Department Of Astrophysics

Conducted computational research on a mysterious population of stars with a weak CN absorption feature—the stellar population is located in the disk of the Andromeda galaxy. Research was carried out using data obtained from the Keck Deimos spectrograph and Hubble Space Telescope six-filter photometry, along with methods of statistical data analysis and data visualization using the Python programming language (with prolific use of NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, and astroPy). I presented our findings at UCSC's summer research symposium, and I'm featured as coauthor of two publications which describe our research.
