I graduated with BA in English from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and worked as a Technical/Procedural writer and Content Management Systems curator for the Sears Holdings Corporation. In addition to my work as a writer, I edited various drafts of copy both produced in-house and from freelance and third-party companies to ensure clients received accurate, timely, and reliable information. For the past 8 years, I've worked exclusively in the Telecommunications and IT world publishing, editing, and developing white papers, standardizing legal and technical documents and processes, and maintaining developer-based websites associated with CenturyLink and CenturyLink Cloud. In that span, I've overseen and carried out migrations of content, media, and images from site to site helped standardize publishing guidelines within my Content Team and worked with developers, system engineers, legal teams, marketing departments, and operations teams to produce quality content at CenturyLink. I currently work within the IT Compliance function within the Reinsurance industry focusing on NIST, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks to ensure the documentation, analysis, and identification, and mitigation of risk is managed and captured for internal use. Additionally, working with audit, management, and development teams allows me to capture and report on qualitative risk metrics for enterprise-wide use. I regularly write, contribute, edit, and develop sports-based publications. My past work includes regular development of the Spartan Race magazine, website, and race blog. My current projects include writing articles for www.thesefootballtimes.co centered around soccer and the game within the game. I am the author of "It's Just a Ball: Exploring the Complexities of a Simple Game", which is a book on player development. Throughout that process, I worked with multiple football federations, coaches, and professional players to complete the project. I have been featured in The Guardian and the United Soccer Coaches Soccer Journal as a contributing writer.Additionally, I am the owner of Totaalvoetbal Concepts LLC, a supplementary soccer school based in the St. Louis/Metro-East area and the Chicagoland area.
