Hawaiian Islands

-Led the merger of two distinct solar companies with dramatically divergent management styles. Implemented enhanced safety procedures across a combined workforce of 110 employees. Helped create total sales volume of $27 million from both companies. Retooled warehouse procedures to streamline the ordering and stocking operations, resulting in cost savings of $115 thousand. Enabled cross-company pollination through a program of bringing senior employees to expansion operations, thus providing standardization training and improved esprit de corps.

-Drafted multi-national strategic plans for military response across the Pacific theater. Responsible for manning, training, and certifying an 875-person strong task force for immediate disaster and tactical response. Communicated and explained these contingency plans to theater warfare commanders, senior Defense Department executives, and representatives from multiple government agencies. Responsible to the four-star Admiral Fleet commander for every aspect of Task force organization and planning. Deployed to Tokyo, and developed consequence management planning for the nation of Japan following the March 2011 Great Tohoku earthquake, tsunami, and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant crisis.

Pearl Harbor, Hi

-Trained and mentored six submarine commanding officers and their crews for extended independent deployed operations. Responsible to the Submarine Force and theater commanders for ship and crew mission performance. Worked closely with maintenance engineers, training organizations, and support staff to prepare each 160-man crew for demanding underwater missions. Monitored operation of each submarine’s nuclear power plant for compliance with safety, quality control, and integrity standards. Directed all daily efforts of a staff of 25 senior U.S. Navy managers and technicians.

Pearl Harbor, Hi

-Planned and oversaw execution of all ballistic missile submarine deployment operations in the Pacific. Responsible to the U.S. Strategic Command commander for ensuring reliability and survivability of these national assets. Worked closely with civilian technical experts and engineers to design protocols and measures to enhance submarine and nuclear weapons safety.

-Responsible for every aspect of operation, training, maintenance and personnel for $2 Billion dollar submarine and crew of 165 men. Deployed five times to complete strategic missile deterrent patrols in the Pacific Ocean. Organized and trained submarine’s crew , certified all senior engineering watch standers for operation and maintenance of Navy pressurized water nuclear power plant. Certified all senior tactical watches for operations. Engaged with local community leaders to explain submarine force roles and missions. Hosted dignitaries on familiarization cruises. Coordinated with technical repair facility leaders, logistics support agencies, and nuclear weapons technicians to ensure robust reliability of all engineering systems for extended at-sea deployment. Awarded command leadership award for excellence in retaining and promoting personnel. Awarded command tactical excellence award for best war-fighting unit. Awarded Fleet-wide trophy for overall excellence in operational success.

Naples Area, Italy

-Coordinated logistics support and material repair for all U.S. submarines deployed to the Mediterranean. Worked closely with local port officials, shipping and husbanding agents to ensure supplies and repair parts were delivered on-time to ships making port of call across the Mediterranean. Ensured correspondence, transportation, lodging, food, fuel, water and other necessities were available for visiting submarine crews. Hosted NATO dignitaries on submarine visits in the Port of Naples, Italy.
