I taught 2nd grade 2011-2018. In those years I impacted students from primarily ESL backgrounds. I also received my MA in Education with a Reading concentration (2015), as well as certification as a Kagan Cooperative Learning School Trainer (2015). I served my building team as a Kagan trainer from 2015 to 2018. During this time, I provided professional development opportunities for the full teaching staff, for grade-level teams, and for individual teachers. From fall 2012 to spring 2015, I served my team as XCT leader. During this time, I provided guidance and led collaboration in furthering our team and personal professional goals in areas such as math and writing instruction. I currently provide 1:1 ESL instruction online to students based in mainland China, and homeschool my own child.
