Child and Community Based Protection & Youth Unit.• March 2020- December 2020: Official in charge of the Child Protection and CBP unit at Country Office. • Maintain and strengthen relations with government and NGOs (manage five partnerships) implementing three projects of USD 1.3M. • Conduct community-based risk assessments and monitoring of community processes, including youth-led initiatives, and ensure the inclusion of gender mainstreaming. • Provide technical support, training and capacity building to governmental partners, youth and key stakeholders to reinforce the child protection system and community-based protection to 300+ people annually. Appointed and trained as 1 of 23 Child Protection trainers by UNHCR (ToT).• Elaborate and conduct at least ten monthly child-friendly interviews (BIP). • Design and roll out a UNCHR-UNICEF initiative pilot project to benefit +100,000 children in WASH, child protection, and GBV interventions. • Work closely with organisations of people with disabilities and develop an inclusion strategy within the operation. • Assist functional units, the Multi-Functional Team (MFT), and senior management to integrate participatory and community-based approaches in the overall protection delivery strategy. Emergencies: • COVID-19: Coordination of an interagency child protection response plan, delivery of humanitarian assistance, and implementation of isolation centres for returnees. • Hurricanes ETA/IOTA: Emergency deployment on-field to the north coast of Honduras to deliver humanitarian assistance, community-based monitoring, development of humanitarian response plans, and flash appeals. Participant in coordination plans between interagency groups (Child Protection, WASH, Education).

Perú & Colombia

Responsible for the implementation in Medellín and Trujillo of the project "Measuring illicit trafficking and community security through participatory indicators based on SDG 16" of the United Nations Regional Center for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNLIREC) whose main objective was the monitoring of indicators of security, peace, violence and illicit trafficking through mobile APP and other technological tools in participatory processes led by youth at the community level. During the assignment in this project some of the responsibilities and tasks were:• Start of project implementation, execution, and closure.• Coordinate simultaneously two groups of young volunteers in both cities (60 young people).• Design and facilitation of training for young beneficiaries.• Design of a participatory survey on the perception of security, peace, violence, and firearms.• Coordinate a process of gathering information in each city. o Trujillo: 3,095 surveys conducted in 27 days by a team of 36 volunteers. o Medellín: 2,051 surveys conducted in 20 days by a team of 21 volunteers.• Preparation of final publication with results of the project and the surveys, as well as the analysis of the obtained data.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

In charge of the portfolio of Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain in the Online Volunteer Unit, supporting the promotion and linking to the Online Volunteering service to Civil Society Organizations and United Nations agencies in the region through information meetings and workshops for the target organizations, the delivery of relevant information and assistance to users in daily volunteering activities online.

Coordinator for Honduras of the joint regional project of UNLIREC and UNV: "Young Volunteer for the Consolidation of Peace and Disarmament: Young people measuring Community Security through Participatory Indicators".During the asingación in this project some of the responsibilities and tasks were:- Facilitation of 20 workshops for more than 100 young people in three groups; Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba.- On-site support in Colombia (Medellín, Bogotá and Cúcuta) with workshops for more than 50 young people and systematization of the products generated by the project in Colombia (two missions).- Methodological development and facilitation of training on issues of Peace, Youth, Volunteering, Disarmament, Security, Sustainable Development Goals and generation of indicators.- Mapping of key actors.- Relationship with Civil Society Organizations and government entities.- Execution of the budget and support in administrative tasks for the realization of events and purchases.- Systematization and review of the information and indicators generated.- Initial training mission in Lima, Peru.- Start of execution and closure of the project at the national level.
