Leading the overall architecture and solution strategy for digital analytics, personalization, and digital behavior data management for IBM. Leading a team of 12 people in four different locations in the US and India, which is tasked to develop and support solutions for tag management, user profiling, content data services, privacy compliance, user activation and digital marketing.

Led the effort to create the web intelligence program in IBM, which was foundational to measure digital business performance and optimization. Such effort required to work with all business units to create an enterprise digital analytics platform to better understand our web presence landscape, identify opportunities for optimization and mine data to increase demand generation and improve yield strategy. Managed a worldwide team of 26 people in the US, Slovakia, Romania and India, with a budget of 1.8M for development and operations.

Led the effort to adopt an enterprise solution for content management by all business units at IBM. This role required the creation of a business development plan, creation of business cases to justify adoption based on cost and benefits, the creation of a common adopter solution to integrate data and processes from stakeholders, and the establishment of a 12-people steady-operations global team to execute on the adoption of the strategic solution by more than 32 different content creation units across IBM

Technologist and solution architect for Enterprise Search and Web Content Management • Led the effort to evaluate and prototype vendor Search Engines to improve our search capability in our ibm.com website, which led to contracting FAST as IBM's search engine• Led the effort to evaluate Content Management solutions from multiple vendors and selecting the right solution, Interwoven TeamSite, for IBM by creating the business case to identify value, defining the process to adopt it and seek funding from all the business units to implement it.• Partnered with IBM research and other groups in IBM to find technologies to enable IBM business processes: Electronic Commerce Content Management system (ECCM), unified content management and delivery system for technical support (dBlue), applying automatic categorization of content while crawling to index content and improve search engine effectiveness, such work resulted in multiple patents to protect and increase IBM's intellectual capital.

Responsible for the system architecture for the Financial Planning System for IBM, activities included:• The architecture and deployment of a highly available five cluster environment for the APEX Worldwide Solution. The setup included an SP/2 Complex with 7 SP/2 frames, 28 8-way RS6000 PowerPCs and 12 TB of SSA DASD.• Additional work, includes, the automation of multiple processes. Amongst them, the FileSystem definition and assignment of 12 TB of SSA DASD and the development of the backup strategy for Hyperion's OLAP Server, Essbase. This development encompassed more than 10,000 lines of code written in three different scripting languages. The end product reduced databases’ backup downtime from over 7 hrs. to less than 20 minutes, saving time for information processing.

Responsible of the support of the high availability distributed environment for the IBM Microelectronics Division. Activities included the design and implementation of High Availability Clusters for Database Servers, Computer Processing Servers and DCE/DFS File Servers using HACMP

Leader of the team responsible of the system architecture, administration, installation and support of the University's scholastic system server farm, the students computer labs workstations and responsible for the support of the distributed computing environment based on DCE and AFS.
