Hi, I’m Judy 👀✨✨✨Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and it’s something I pursued since my younger years in elementary to high school by taking all the high-level art courses available to me, like honors art, ap art 1, 2, and art consortium. I stumbled across graphic design during my last year at high school during a presentation from one of the alumni at our school. But I was never 100% confident in my artistic and creative abilities, so I did not apply to the graphic design program at my school until my sophomore year of college. When accepted, I immediately fell in love with the history and power behind using design as a form of communication. I am passionate about using design thinking and my creativity to create impactful, unique work that stands out amongst its competitors. My designs are bright, playful, and impactful. I enjoy developing brand identities and strategies while implementing illustrations and human-centered design. My creative process involves a lot of research behind who my client is, their target audience, and where they stand in social media as well as performing a competitor analysis. I then use this information along with the brief to mood board, sketch, and ideate; I enjoy combining different mediums given my background in illustration. I want to work with brands that positively impact society, whether through how their product makes us feel or the messaging behind their brand. I’m passionate about using my creativity to help others.A few moments in my career that make me smile:➤ Getting accepted into Kean’s Design program! ➤ Being selected as a mentee by the One Club for Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners (BSSP)➤ Working with the brightest team at Design Studio Practicum with inspiring and knowledgeable advisors. What was supposed to be a semester-long internship grew into two then three semesters long! This experience taught me how to communicate with clients, work on a team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. This opportunity led me to create multiple experiential events as well as the visual identity for Kean University’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program, such as branding, promotional graphics, and visual graphics for their office space.➤ I am now a part of the AIGA NY 2023 cohort!
