As a Software QA Engineer, I have pretty usual QA responsibilities. I work a lot with the product requirements, do research and analysis, and create my test cases. Depending on where we are in Software Development Life Cycle, I perform a different type of testing. For example API testing on a release stage of development to see if application logic is implemented correctly, smoke testing on each and every build, to make sure it is stable enough to proceed with deep functional testing. Prior to releases, of course, I would do regression testing. Based on my testing results I will record a lot of issues, using Jira as a bug-tracking tool. I am communicating these issues with a development team and product team when needed. I participate in the company's different agile ceremonies like planning, grooming, demo, and retro, and I have stand-ups with my team.
