"When the going gets tough, the tough get going". I try to live by this saying every day. As a former college athlete, I know what tough days look like. But even more, I know how to persevere through the tough times. Starting as a walk on my freshman year, I worked myself to a starting spot and earning a full ride scholarship. Sure, it was tough to work hard everyday to earn my spot on the starting rotation, but I can honestly say that it was worth every moment of sweat and tears. Not only did I find success on the field, I found success in the classroom. I graduated with a 4.0 in Management and was awarded Female Scholar Athlete of the Year and NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete awards. Athletics taught me grit, leadership, and a greater sense of competition. As much as I would love for my college career to last forever, I want to bring this determination to my future career and life.
