During the summer of 2017, I coached a summer camp for high school students who had never rowed before. The camp was held daily began by teaching the rowers boat handling as well as the basic rowing on the erg. Once the rowers felt confident to row on the water, I along with two other coaches would each take a boat on the water and practice safety, technique, and how to pull hard. At the end of the camp there was a regatta known as Greenlake Summer Extravaganza of which all novices boats placed in the top three.
