I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, as well as a Master’s in Teaching, with a certification in Mathematics 6 through 12. In my current position, I teach Algebra 1 and Math 7 to students in the 7th grade. Through teaching these two sections, I have the opportunity to work with students of various learning levels. I am very successful at accommodating diverse student needs by collaborating with other teachers, offering individual support before and after school, and creating and providing effective materials that help students reach their highest potential. On a weekly basis, I collaborate with my colleagues in developing relevant and innovative lessons and assessments as well as create a pacing schedule to stay on track with curriculum units. As a team, we analyze student data and feedback to drive our instruction. On a daily basis, I communicate with colleagues and parents/guardians to provide effective academic, emotional, or social support for our students. I have strong organizational skills and attention to detail as seen through my unit binders, calendars, student folders, and observations completed by my administrators. These skills will help me be a successful project manager by ensuring projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
