As a freelance jack-of-all-trades I've built up a formidable portfolio of happy clients. Following redundancy, I picked up an 18-month freelance stint on the subs desk at Tesco Magazine. During the past two years I’ve guided several one-shot magazines to press for Sainsbury’s Magazine, covered the Workflow editor’s role in her absences, written numerous advertorials and completed several subbing assignments on BBC Good Food’s off-shoot magazines, Easy Cook and the quarterly bookazines. I also chief subbed a recipe-based bookazine for Good Housekeeping, supplements for Tesco magazine, wrote features and content for Asda magazine, and picked up subbing shifts with Hello! magazine and on Hearst's luxury hub covering Elle, Esquire, Elle Decoration and Harper's Bazaar. Previous to this, I managed the content for Sainsbury’s Little ones baby & toddler club magazines (five quarterly magazines), which involved commissioning the recipes and features, writing and editing, plus overseeing the online content. I also edited the Little ones recipes & nutrition book.
