I am a PhD student on the London NERC DTP based jointly at the Natural History Museum and UCL. My research focuses on how anthropogenic threats impact biodiversity on a global scale, with a particular focus on insects. I work mainly with the PREDICTS database and I’m also embedded within the NERC-funded project GLiTRS. Outside of research, I’m also passionate about making ecology a more diverse and inclusive field. I sit on the committee as the Partnerships Officer for the REED Network under the British Ecological Society, aiming to develop more cross pollination between EDI networks and initiatives both within and outside of academia. I am a zoologist by training with a background in taxonomy, systematics, macroecology, macroevolution, tropical fieldwork, and collection based museum research.
