About Justin Layer

I am an experienced molecular biologist/protein chemist with deep knowledge of protein expression and purification. Recently I developed and patented a unique lentiviral expression system, which is exceptional for manipulation of mammalian cell lines and primary cultures. I used this technology for reverse genetic screening of deubiquitinases (DUBs) that modulate oncoprotein stability in T-cell leukemia. These DUBs are now being investigated as potential therapeutic (small-molecule) drug targets.
