Responsible for the SGHP (Gasifiers and Hydrogen production) at Shell's Pernis refinery. Leads the multi-disciplinary production team (consisting of amongst others unit technologists, inspection, reliability, materials & corrosion, rotating equipment, instrumentation, process control) and drives continuous improvement. Focal point for daily technical assurance, troubleshooting, and drives mid/long-term proactive monitoring. Administers the incident reporting, leads incident investigations, and acts as liaison with functional departments in various functions, most notably process safety, product quality, and environment/compliance. Owner of the ESP (Ensure Safe Production) and MOC (Management of Change) processes. Provides or secures operational input for projects, and is accountable for medium/long term improvement activities and developing and implementing ideas to mitigate threats and capture opportunities.

Technology Focal Point for the Gasification Plant and Soot Ash Removal Unit at the Shell Pernis Refinery. Activities include daily optimization of plant operation, proactive technical monitoring, project initiation and integration, maintenance optimization, support of turnarounds/start-up/commissioning, and driving various emission reduction studies.

Focal point for all activities related to Fired Equipment at Europe's largest refinery in Pernis, The Netherlands.

Design of cold energy recovery applications in Liquid to Compressed Natural Gas evaporation for CNG fueling stations at the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics. Designed an ice-storage air conditioning system used for building cooling.
