Justine Lim (she/her) was born in Quezon City, Philippines and immigrated to the United States in 2005. Justine was raised by a single mother, along with her three siblings, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Her passion for immigrant rights and labor advocacy stems from the injustice her mother experienced as an undocumented immigrant worker. Justine graduated summa cum laude with college honors from UCLA, with degrees in Labor Studies and Political Science. She is currently attending UC Irvine School of Law on a full tuition public service scholarship. Five years from now, Justine envisions herself working as a labor & employment attorney, putting hard-earned wages back into the pockets of vulnerable workers. She is passionate about fighting for economic justice and advocating for social change alongside immigrant communities. Her philosophy is centered on educating and empowering marginalized communities to reclaim their power and experience liberation. As the daughter of an undocumented immigrant worker, Justine is a fierce advocate for immigrant communities and aims to improve the everyday lives of immigrant workers through advocacy and legislative change. Every human being, regardless of where they come from, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
