It was my first job in the industry out of college, and there was still a lot I had to learn in regards to designing and animating in a professional setting. Justin took me under his wing and acted not only as an excellent art director, but also as a design mentor to myself. Justin has an eye for detail and a killer design instinct. He was able to pinpoint a look fitted perfectly for each project that came our way. One standout example was produced right as I was hired, which was the graphics he designed for the "Parasite" film trailer. Through the animated interstitials, he was able to convey the tone of the film and aid in telling the story through a clever sleight-of-hand design element and sophisticated typography. Seeing this right out the gate when I joined Zealot opened my eyes to the power that motion graphics have in bringing a trailer to life. The fast-moving world of movie marketing meant sometimes things got busy and at times overwhelming, yet Justin maintained a cool confidence in the face of any potential stress. He fostered a kind, welcoming and creative environment that I looked forward to being a part of every day. I couldn’t think of a better first job - I still thank Justin for all he’s taught me as I design today."
