Working with a smaller engineering team, I had the pleasure of wearing a few hats and working on a bit of everything. I architected and built the framework/system used to ingest and make sense of all the public remodeling data (permits, licenses, MLS, etc.) in the country. This involved ingesting and transforming heterogeneous permit data from 1000's of sources. When I left the framework was used daily by > 10 developers. I also wrote backend processing applications, puppetized the infrastructure, built an improved cache management system (tens of millions of pages), created deployment processes, provisioning scripts, etc. I also did a tiny bit of backend web development.(Python, Ruby, Postgres, Mysql, and a lot of other fun stuff)

Worked on a team developing Flocker (a data volume manager for Dockerized applications). Contributions included adding the Google Compute Engine block device driver and creating tools to provision or manage a Flocker cluster.Brief stint explanation: Left after two rounds of layoffs and massive change in business and product direction. While at Sauce I spent most of my time working on scaling our cloud infrastructure and writing a lot of async python to scale our services. This included creating new services, architecting for improved service interactions, adding new technology to the stack, improving logging and telemetry and doing a lot of work to make a large distributed system bigger, faster, more transparent and reliable.(Python, Twisted, Monocle, Redis, MySQL, Graphite/Statsd, Ansible, and lots of other interesting technologies and software)
