Jan’s areas of expertise are plan preparation, licencing, subsidies and the management of design/specification and construction/purchase. Key issues in all development stages are: the project scope, the organization of tasks, the estimation of costs, the funding and cost distribution among counterparts.His project portfolio consist of national and international project.In the Netherlands Jan works in the collection, logistics, treatment and disposal of specific waste streams. He has in-depth knowledge in the (separate) collection of municipal waste and supports regional and local governments in fine-tuning their waste collection systems. He is principal consultant and project manager for the development of household waste recycling centres (see www.milieustraat.nl).Another specific area of expertise is plastic recycling. In 2017 Jan joined the management team of Polystyrene Loop BV for the development of a 3,000 MT/y recycling plant for EPS waste in Terneuzen (NL).Internationally Jan works in waste management projects for a.o. World Bank, IADB, EU and national and regional governments (a.o. in Colombia, Brazil, Iran and Cape Verde).
