South East Salon is a network, a platform and a consultancy that celebrates, elevates and engages the people, organisations and creative entrepreneurship of South East London in an effort to effect positive (re)generation of the landscape and communities.

As Project Manager of the Create Civic Change project Tilting the Mirror, I oversee an intergenerational arts project that empower residents through creativity and provide a platform for those who often struggle to be heard in the process of regeneration that is rapidly transforming our area.

As a Critical Friend to this Local Trust I provide support to the working group in bringing more local people to the table to develop the project. The working group. Led by Peckham Platform, is creating community art and engagement around civic and artistic participation in Peckham South London.

Artworks Creekside is a building of artisans, artists and entrepreneurs in Deptford. The site is home to a vertical farmer, a coffee roaster, a bakery, London’s only millinery supply shop, and studios for artists, carpenters and contractors, graphic designers and a film company, to name a few. As Site Manager, I hold down the fort (literally) by liaising with tenants, driving new lettings, and am singularly responsible for the health, safety and maintenance across the site.

As Youth Development Coordinator I helped to design, develop, deliver and manage of a range of youth projects as part of Peabody Young People Services, and supported the wider work of the Community Investment team.

somewhereto_ is a movement to unlock disused spaces and help young people do the things they love, grow their skill set and gain entrepreneurial experience.As a Regional Delivery Partner covering all of London, I managed a database of all donated vacant spaces citywide, match young people - ages 16 to 25 - with the unused venues; produced events and major campaigns such as somewhereto_ screen and summer of somewhereto_ ; and mentored young entrepreneurs.

The Rise Foundation supports school fees the young people from the Agape Orphanage in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa through the WE ARE TOGETHER Education Programme. Along with accounting, fundraising and social networking duties, I also managed all internal and external communications and networking with schools, families, learners and NGOs.

RockCorps is an initiative that offers young people tickets to a high-profile concert in exchange for community service. I managed all social networks for Orange RockCorps in Manchester and London (blog, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Bebo pages); maintained the library of online content for marketing and documentation purposes; organised and managed a database of user-generated photos for the Orange RockCorps/Sony Ericsson Capture Competition.
