During my Southwest Power Pool(SPP) internship in the Generator Interconnection (GI) department, I played a vital role in transitioning to the "SmartQ" intake database. Utilizing the applications, PSSE and transmission viewer system, I accurately analyzed interconnection request data. My main responsibility was cross-validating and verifying application information using SPP tools, resulting in the successful validation of 285 interconnection requests for SmartQ upload. I rectified 21 crucial Point of Interconnection (POI) locations, ensuring safe power integration into the grid. I actively communicated with supervisors, providing comprehensive weekly updates, and contributed valuable insights in meetings. Proficient in data analysis and error identification, I maintained database accuracy. Data Analytics that are Robust and Trusted (DART) Fellowship is the initiative sponsors some underrepresented minority students to participate in summer undergraduate research experiences in DART labs. DART Fellows are chosen by faculty and this opportunity is usually invitation only and at the discretion of the CS Department faculty.

Represented the student opinion and served as the primary student voice to the administration and board of trustee's. . Primary duties included working with students to resolve problems, informing school leaders and the other student government representatives of ideas emanating from the class. Also, had the responsibility of leading executive and full body cabinet meetings, organizing student activities and events.

I used data and personal accounts to support my decisions whilst also familiarizing myself with systems like Sophos, Carbon Black, and Microsoft 365 for Defender. Also, I logged missing and updated firewalls utilizing tools SolarWinds and StateNet.Operations:Researching different endpoint security solutions, presented to the security department on the most efficient one.Communications:Maintained consistent communication between management.Partaking in daily status update meetings via Microsoft Teams on research assignments/tasks to management.Presenting to current employees and fellow interns on my findings regarding endpoint security systems and their benefits.
