The Bilbo Lab seeks to understand the interplay of the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems, and how their interactions influence behavioral outcomes. My work in the lab focuses on the gender-specific variations in gene regulation in microglia after an immune response triggered in the developmental period. My role is primarily to analyze the physical and transcriptional characteristics of the specimens' microglia, as well as to computer generate 3D models of the sample for comparison.
