As an educator for the past eight years, I have acquired a number of skills that make me a valuable asset to companies like yours. My roles as a classroom teacher, leader of multiple professional learning communities, and a leader of professional development activities at my school have allowed opportunities for communicating with every employee on the school campus. In addition, I have been responsible for mentoring other teachers to grow their career; such as recruiting teachers to athletic coaching communities and into school leadership teams. This shows that I have been able to adapt my communication style and techniques to accomplish the goal at hand with all stakeholders in the school community; ranging from custodial staff to the district personnel responsible for planning our instruction and hiring instructional staff. Through these experiences, I have been pushed to plan and activate plans for problem solving that both created and/or preserved relationships between stakeholders. Furthermore, working at Title I schools, experiencing multiple leaders and leadership styles and managing relationships with upwards of one hundred colleagues at a time has allowed me to learn many facets of the educational field. I have experienced both being the leader and being the led throughout my educational career. This amplifies my ability to build relationships while networking with other educators and stakeholders with ease. Lastly, my educational experience has given me the organizational skills and executive functioning needed to effectively organize and track data throughout multiple assignments at a time. Managing the learning outcomes and grades for approximately one hundred students per year, in addition to leadership activities on campus, the modifications and individual learning plans for multiple students, and the many aspects of daily teaching will directly transfer to a position where I will need to manage a professional network and best allocate my time to reach goals.
