About Kaje Balendran

I went from tinkering with TVs and home theatre systems as a kid to videowalls and concert speakers as a young adult. My unique collection of experiences working through many high-pressure scenarios created a strong fortitude that carries with me throughout my career path.I started working at the age of 16 and wore many hats such as Restaurants, Landscaping, Construction, Warehouses, Brand ambassador, Retail, and Audio/Visuals. Each job taught me lessons that are applicable in day-to-day life and gives me the ability to empathize with others.Went to school for Theatre Production that secured my drive within the AV field and led me to my Project Manager hat I wear now. This opportunity gave me the exposure to work with clients such as the CN Tower, Law Society of Ontario, New Era, Canadian Air Force College, Ryerson University, Nissan Canada, Bata Shoe Museum and Holt Renfrew.To bring balance in my life I have been an avid gardener since high school and slowly developed that into a small-scale urban farm. I use this farm to grow vegetables my parents grew up eating in Northern Sri Lanka (Eelam) and created habitats for wildlife to thrive in. When I don't have my fingers in the dirt, they are usually in 14 oz boxing gloves hitting bags while training in the art of Muay Thai.
