I work as a software engineer and the technical lead on the treasury management product ExactTMS, which is offered to financial institutions to detect fraudulent payments. It also fills a variety of other transaction management needs, such as reporting and reconciliation.One major focus of my work is visually and architecturally updating ExactTMS to bring it in line with modern technologies and design. I have also worked to increase operational efficiency for both end-users and our internal team. My efforts are helping to create a product that is easier to use, easier to maintain, and more reliable.

Lincoln, Nebraska Area

I independently led a calculus recitation two days a week. This involved planning exercises that complement the math professor's weekly lectures, administering examinations, grading, and holding regular office hours. Throughout my employment as a TA, I consistently exceeded department average scores on course surveys.My work helped students better understand course material and prepare them for future math studies and careers. Math is an indispensable skill, and calculus is used in many engineering, science, and social science fields. After teaching this recitation, I have a better mastery of the content and understand how to relate problems and problem-solving techniques to others.I also worked as a teaching assistant for honors economics and finance courses taught within the Raikes School. This primarily involved grading responsibilities and holding regular office hours, although I also had the opportunity to lead a course lecture.

Greater Omaha Area

I worked in the Advisory and Enterprise Risk Services department as in intern. My teams were responsible for ensuring that clients complied with internal policy, government regulations, and their customers' expectations. This process helps clients operate consistently and produce accurate, unbiased documentation and reports. On a daily basis, I was required to test and validate corporate controls, manage multiple simultaneous engagements and tasks, and adjust rapidly to new challenges.

Greater Omaha Area

In summer of 2013 I worked on the supply chain planning team. ConAgra uses the SAP business suite to plan and execute supply chain challenges like production scheduling. My team was responsible for some of the maintenance and administration of this software. Working on this team requires knowledge and use of the SAP system and network optimization process. Network optimization includes master scheduling, materials management, production planning, and deployment planning. I also worked on implementing robust test automation for the SAP systems to simplify testing procedures and help isolate the root of any problem that arises. My work in test automation will save the team an estimated $40,000 in employee time per year.In summer of 2012 I worked on the Web Development team at ConAgra Foods. This included developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, and maintaining existing applications and databases. I worked on an Agile reporting system to assist project management with the implementation and evaluation of new Agile processes. The Agile methodology helps enable the department to complete project work in a way that ensures stakeholder satisfaction and reduces the risk of wasted resources. Generating reports using project data is an effective way to measure the success of Agile in the department.
