Sykes is all about working at the fringes. As a rapidly growing company they're innovating in new areas across the board, especially in the marketing department, My Role is as part of an internal services team that provides data extracts and in-dept analysis. At the core of my role I'm an analyst and developer trying to bridge the gap between the worlds of available data and exciting activities Sykes' marketing can envision. To achieve this I work with internal, open, and acquired data which comes from a series of sources including APIs, flat files, and databases. Further to this we have a special-projects branch of our work to identify, investigate, and build solutions that enable the next wave of innovation marketing. Proud to say that in my time there we've won multiple BTA and marketing awards.

Working alongside a tight-knit team to put together a conference in Wellington, New Zealand with the idea of bringing 'Open Source' values and principles into other elements of society; Business, Education, Government.Tasks and responsibilities were as follows:Design and build bootstrap website to host conference contentCreate digital marketing planMeasurement and reporting on ticket sales, demographics, marketing results (include platform analytics),Execute on digital marketing plan across all channels- Email newsletter- Social Media- Digital Advertising- Design and create digital and print assets for marketing

Responsible for digital marketing across the business (B2B & B2C), managing contractors and suppliers, query and model our data, as well as integrate with the product team focusing on collecting and modelling consumer data.

Joining Loomio as a contractor to test and enable growth in their global digital presence I was able to create value across different markets, testing campaigns and concepts in different mediums. With the marketing and data components of my role testing in a greenfield environment enabled new and exciting markets to be expanded on, with new connections made. Our stakeholders in the US market were engaged through new mediums using content marketing, paid search, and offline methods.

Lifehack is all about working with those who work with young people. From government in Aotearoa, New Zealand, our mandate was to provide solutions to youth mental health using a form of technology. I'm proud of what we achieved and how we interpreted our contract to provide a platform and solutions that impacted thousands of young people across Aotearoa. My role was as a co-lead of the organisation and in venture support (our business incubator), along with product development and strategy. Our focus was expanding on the concept of Wellbeing to incorporate local contexts, empowering the do-ers and makers already embedded in communities and in that way the best-placed to have impactful, meaningful change.

Highly Flammable is a creative entertainment company, with our core products being in circus entertainment and pyrotechnics. We provided a unique product service that had off the shelf components and could also be customized for each of our clients. Creative concepts, design, marketing, management; I had a full-suite role that took the business from one location in Dunedin to having an office in Wellington and Auckland with a satellite in Australia. Growing from a small base of both clients and staff, by the time I decided to move on from Highly Flammable we had a pool of over five hundred contractors and sever dozen regular clients.

Working closely with festival director to coordinate marketing strategies aimed at the student market. Additionally running competitions for students, encouraging them to become involved in the festival.

The Talent Manager role gave me the responsibility to design arecruitment programme that filtered out the best possible candidates for the gaps we had. With feedback from my manager myself and my team designed a interview process, induction program and then successfully implemented it during the course of 10 weeks.
