In this role I was required to liaise with a variety of internal departments, external suppliers and ultimately the end-customer in order to ensure successful delivery of all elements of the Initial Provisioning package to the export customer. I was also involved with establishing robust processes to maintain this momentum throughout the early phases of this contract. A high level of both people and communication skills were essential as liaising with the variety of different working cultures (engineers, technical experts, UK and foreign suppliers, the end customer, etc) could be very problematic, therefore an ability to be diplomatic, think on my feet and solve problems quickly was a prerequisite. In this role I had the opportunity to further enhance the management skills I had developed in previous positions as I was responsible for a member of staff, including workload management, regular performance reviews, objective setting, etc. Show less -
