Focused on leading the Product Management team, enabling both their growth and the evolution of Darwin, the #1 global benefits platform, from a strategic level. Tasked with managing senior stakeholders across the wider Mercer organisation and across some of the largest MNCs worldwide. The definition, and communication of new business strategy across senior stakeholders, clients and wider members of the organisation. Onboarding of Product Managers and definition of updated value based prioritisation processes. Introduction of new tooling to streamline implementation practices and expose wider market opportunity.

Responsible for the broader suite of technology product offerings within the Darwin arm of Mercer. Working with clients, Mercer, and sales & marketing teams to validate insight; build business cases for investment; define, prioritise & manage requirements through software engineering; define and support launch activities; and shape commercial and value propositions for his/her products and services. Also responsible for coaching, supporting and line managing a team of Product Managers. Helping to oversee and guide their technology delivery, commercial and value propositions.Previously, I have led projects to redesign the user interface introducing a best-in-class design, utilising responsive design and decoupling complex technical logic from the user interface to enable development that is more agile and enhanced in the future. Only a daily basis I worked to define requirements, groom work for development, prioritise enhancements using Jira to ensure maximum delivery for the organisation’s clients and communicate with/engage with internal and external stakeholders.During my time at Darwin Technologies, I have also been part of numerous cross-functional business teams focused on legislative changes, problem management, and client feedback groups. My role offers exposure to external pitches, internal and external roadmap updates, agile software development, product collateral management, and software support for both internal stakeholders, clients and organisation partners. I have also worked to help to enable the global teams that look to deliver Darwin, Darwin Technologies’ software across the organisation’s parent company, Mercer.

Responsible for owning and developing core modules of the industry’s market-leading software. Whilst working as part of this team, I restructured and defined an improved process to log and deliver features and enhancements, helping to develop cleaner ways of working across teams. Worked directly with senior architects to detail requirements and identify appropriate technical solutions. This included the creation of a complex monetary system used to underpin the entirety of the current product, as well as the definition of a full suite of features, from technical requirements and data output, right through to user experience and user flows.

Responsible for leading three projects as part of a significant change to the whole platform across development teams based around the globe. In the first, I was responsible for defining and prioritising core capability of the whole platform. In addition to this project, owned and delivered a new reimbursement module of the software, including both core capability and accountancy systems, as well as a complete overhaul of the user experience for the reimbursement module. The final project I led involved the delivery of both capability and experience for entry into new markets, this included engagement with external stakeholders, programme planning for roll-out and market engagement.

Worked delivering a market-leading software solution to a range of organisations. I led projects of high complexity resulting in award-winning results. By pushing the boundaries of what was deemed possible I managed numerous clients who scored the service delivered as either 9 or 10 out of 10 (using ‘The Ultimate Question’ as a scoring mechanism). I operated as part of a large team helping to support others deliver projects, leading projects of my own and developing as part of an energetic and ambitious group of individuals.

I was responsible for general administration of the customer database, receiving and making sales and general enquiry calls, and aiding warehouse staff with any queries. The general database administration occupied a large proportion of my role and represented a set of complex challenges that allowed me to guide others when situations called for it. I also dealt with customers daily to ensure that the company had kept good contact and was up-to-date with all customer and sales order data.• Organised and directed teams to ensure work met required timeframe.• Updated and improved customer database.• Instructed others through tasks on the database and MS Office programmes.• Liaised with customers to maintain high levels of customer relationship.• Compiled target customer lists for staff to work from.

I was responsible for processing sales orders, ensuring that they were completed in the most cost effective manner. Whilst working as part of the sales team I developed my customer relationship skills and found that working with and for others is an invaluable experience. I also participated in the early stages of a marketing programme that set out to sell recycled steel as part of a branded environmentally friendly product; this role helped me to increase my interest in marketing management, which in turn lead to my successes in marketing modules at university.

My role was writing and testing Visual Basic business database systems. This job helped to develop and maintain my computer skills, including all aspects of Microsoft Office. This was a part time position while studying.
