Hi! I'm Kara!I'm a UX Design student at Purdue University, minoring in Psychology, with a passion for creating meaningful, user-centered experiences. With a strong academic foundation and a Certificate in Collaborative Leadership, I am a leader at the intersection of design, technology, and human behavior.I've had the opportunity to work as a Design Intern at United Airlines, where I developed automated solutions to streamline training communication and redesigned materials to enhance usability. I've also worked on projects with companies like Cisco, Hoka, and Kayak, using user research, data analysis, and innovative design thinking to improve digital experiences and products. Currently, I'm working on a UX Design project with Keylime Interactive, focused on creating financial literacy tools tailored to Gen Z's needs.I’m proficient in a wide range of design tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and Sketch, and have experience in HTML/CSS, C/C++, and JavaScript. I’m driven by a love for learning and continuous improvement, always looking to apply my skills in new and impactful ways.Additionally, I'm a founding member and Director of Brotherhood for Alpha Theta Delta, where I help build a vibrant academic design fraternity community. As the Director of Merchandise for Delta Gamma Sorority and a mentor in Women in Technology, I work to support and empower my peers through creative design and strategic initiatives.
