I was provided the opportunity to come back to Ameristar Casino, as the HR Business Partner supporting a larger property of 800 Team Members. As an experienced advisor, I continue to partner with senior leadership on strategic issues and helping implement high-preforming integrated HR practices.

During my time with the Joliet team, we were able to accomplish a reduction in turnover of 36%, focusing on two prime departments. By revamping recruitment, my team accomplished the best hiring year post pandemic. As the property’s sole Business Partner, I served as a trusted advisor and coach to leadership leading talent management, recruitment, organization development and compensation & benefits.

Throughout my Generalist role, I embraced the responsibilities of a Business Partner beginning with the Hotel portion of the Casino. I continued my responsibility of managing all recruitment efforts for the property and also being a liaison with the corporate team. Awarded Team Member of the Year 2021, based on Innovation of recruitment efforts during the challenging post pandemic year. During my short time within the Talent Acquisition Team, I had the opportunity to represent the Chicagoland team during a recruitment trip to Puerto Rico.
