Account Development Executive

OpenText, headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, is Canada's fourth-largest software company as of 2022.-Primarily accountable for uncovering and qualifying new opportunities for our sales teams. I do this by account planning with Account Executives and from marketing campaigns and activities, offering solutions to meet the customers requirements.-Collaborating with the business leadership, pre-sales and sales teams to ensure account and territory sales goals are achieved.-Maintained up to date knowledge of industry trends, competitor positioning, the marketplace and customer business challenges to facilitate informed decision making regarding the optimum positioning of products and solutions.-Collate, produce, track and communicate progress of leads and opportunities to senior business leaders and C-levels.-Established and developed strong, collaborative relationships with C-level and executive business decision-makers.-Defined and developed detailed forecasts and gap plans to ensure business goals and targets are met and work closely with key stakeholders and vendors to maximise results.-Design, deliver and monitor in team incentives to help maximise pipeline creation.-Host and present regular team meetings and quarterly business review meetings with key stakeholders.-Involved in selecting, hiring and onboarding new team members and provided effective mentoring and coaching to them.-Graduate on our in-house Top Talent program.I started this role within HP Software and have worked continuously through various mergers and acquisitions including HPE Software, Micro Focus and finally OpenText.
