I have 10+ years experience with development of scientific SW in C++, more recently also in Python (see e.g. my GitHub profile https://github.com/jan-kaspar). I have received an award for this work from a scientific community (the CMS collaboration). For about 5 years I coordinated a small team of scientists and SW developers.I have a proven scientific record at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland - the world's leading high-energy physics laboratory. I am used to work in international and multi-cultural teams. I am a team player with communication skills. I am fluent in English and French, moreover I have basic proficiency in other languages, too.Coming from scientific background, I have strong analytical and critical thinking, based on facts. I enjoy unveiling the structure of things, even if complex. I follow a systematic and organised approach, with attention to details. I see problems as opportunities to solve them. I find beauty in good solutions. I appreciate a bit of independence to make place for my creativity and self initiative. I enjoy chaining up tools to build a fully functional systems. I take responsibility for my projects. I am open and honest. I have no problem to ask for help when I need it.I have solid background also in mathematics and statistics. I have an extensive experience with Linux/GNU (user and maintainer of a few AUR packages), shell scripting and the ROOT data analysis framework.
