Kat began coaching at 18 years old with Cumbernauld Youth Theatre and has worked with aspiring and established actors of all ages. In recent years she has Coached for Acting Coach Scotland (ACS) and Inspire Actors Studio and since launching Break a Leg Academy in early 2023 has built an incredible community of actors who support each other in developing their skills and experience. Kats workshops and classes offer an environment that focuses on mindset as one of the core skills in an actors arsenal alongside the development of craft skills and emotional connectivity. Being immersed in the sheer amount of talent in Glasgow encouraged Kat to also launch the production company Chaos Collective in 2023 by Writing & Directing 2 shows for the Edinburgh Fringe as part of the Free Festival. Because Kat never likes to sit still she is also a Voice Over with 10 years experience and a home studio. She has lent her voice to a variety of projects including but not limited to Children’s TV Shows, Children’s Apps, Meditation Apps, Corporate Recruitment Videos, Audiobooks and of course many Radio Ads.Kat has 20 years experience as a Performer and Coach, she has worked with MacRobert Theatre and The Citz delivering drama workshops for young children, was heavily involved with WhoDunnit Events as part of their murder mystery cast and Short Attention Span Theatre as both a performer and writer. In 2022 Kat performed and produced a one woman show at Edinburgh Fringe centring around a series of true stories from the acting industry.
