In my pursuit of hospitality and tourism management through Isenberg, I encountered a great love and passion for service work. After traveling to India and South Africa for mission trips and working at a soup kitchen while at UMass, I discovered that it was not the money or fancy facility that attracted me to the industry, but the people. Putting myself in situations that are uncomfortable and unfamiliar and finding my way through has helped me grow tremendously. I will be using my skills acquired at UMass Amherst to ensure a positive, intentional, unique, and loving experience to wherever life takes me. I am very grateful for the doors that Isenberg has opened for me and for the tremendous education I have received.
