General Assembly's Web Development Immersive is a 12-week full-time program that starts with programming basics and graduates entry-level full-stack developers with experience in collaborative coding environments. By the end of the program, I will have a working portfolio and will be expected to: -Write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that displays as intended in modern browsers-Develop a back-end web application and APIs using a modern programming language and MVC web development framework (language TBD during project planning process) -Develop a dynamic front-end to your application using a modern framework used to create single-page apps, such as Angular or Backbone (framework TBD during project planning process)-Consume web APIs from third-party sites like Twitter or Yelp-Write secure applications and deploy them to cloud services like Heroku-Collaborate within a team using an agile development workflow and widely-accepted collaboration practices using Git

-Worked with DePaul Community Music Division to create and maintain an online bidding platform for charity event donors, designed HTML email campaigns, created and edited marketing materials for annual Performathon event using Illustrator.

Kate comes to Spark with professional experience in marketing, PR, business development, and education. In her previous role at a Chicago-based digital marketing agency Kate established business opportunities and strategic partnerships for the company while strengthening brand awareness through both traditional and online marketing channels. Prior to relocating to Chicago, Kate taught elementary school English in South Korea and planned an English Camp that achieved the highest participation rate in the school's history. Kate saw Spark as the perfect opportunity to integrate her marketing skills with her passion for education. She is dedicated to growing Spark's impact through establishing engaging partnerships with businesses and organizations in Chicago to expand opportunities for life-changing apprenticeships and create the financial stability needed to execute an effective program.

-Planned 24 interactive, media-driven English lessons for 600 students aged kindergarten through sixth grade every week. Adapted lessons constantly based on student feedback and success. -Planned and executed 4 weeks of English camp for 60 students including an overall theme; conversation, writing, reading, and listening practice; and multimedia activities. -Established professional relationships and communicated cross-culturally on a daily basis with my Korean co-teachers and principals.

Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina Area

-Created content for the Debt Diva social media campaign including weekly blog posts, daily Facebook updates that increased interactions and tweet banks. -Wrote copy for Debt Diva Facebook ads that directly resulted in 155 new fans in 25 days.-Analyzed media tracking for Greensboro Partnership and CareOne accounts using Google Alerts, Cision, and PR Track.-Wrote two media pitches for Greensboro Partnership and created media lists using Cision-Organized web structure and content for the Chesapeake Convention and Tourism wedding site.

Elon University

-Oversaw all PR and advertising efforts of the nine departments of Campus Recreation, including events hosted by Campus Recreation.-Planned, advertised and implemented Sportsfest, a tournament for 350 people; and Turkey Trot, a 5k run that benefitted Alamance Loaves and Fishes for over 320 people.

Elon University

-Planned and implemented 2 week-long Freshmen Summer Experiences for 32 participants each with 7 co-facilitators and faculty advisor.-PR delegate responsible for recruiting all participants; created a welcome video, and planned a reunion banquet.
