I commenced working for the Queensland Rugby Club in December 1998 as the Functions Coordinator. Over my 5 years working with the Club I moved into the role of Functions Manager and in my last year or so took on the Membership role in conjunction with my Functions role. In my functions role, I was responsible for all bookings for the Lineout Grill, Corporate Terrace, hospitality for Boxes, Suites and Seat, organising functions in the different rooms at Ballymore and in marquees in conjunction with organising functions both for clients and members. I loved my time at the QRC as the then CEO, Kim Young kept me engaged by setting me new challenges each and every time I needed them. My time at the QRC came to an end when my partner and I went overseas on a working holiday for 17 months.
