Co-ordinator for an Enablement Service for older people in East Hampshire. Having set the service up from scratch including networking with referrers such as GP's, OT's, Physios, Community Nurses etc, I then started recruiting Volunteer Mentors to spend 12 weeks providing support to their client in order for them to remain living independently in their own home following a major life change such as a bereavement or long stay in hospital.Support might include assisting with mobility, engaging in activities outside the home, help with daily tasks within the home, encouraging mental stimulation and signposting to other agencies for help with other problems or issues.

Responsibilities included:- Advising clients over the age of 50 on finance and benefits and on and how to best apply for the most appropriate benefits for each individual- Being in charge of all areas of Adult Social Care advice in the Waverley area of Surrey.- Housing advice- Advice and assistance with finding a Residential or Nursing home- Development and implementation of new projects

Responsibilities include:- Management of a medium sized team - Monitoring & development of new and existing services including implementation and sustainability- Forming and maintaining local and national partnerships with external agencies, organisations and councils. - Regular reporting and presenting to the board and other senior stakeholders - Full responsibility for health & safety and other staff training & development- Monitoring and updating quality standards and policies, maintaining corporate governance and providing regular information updates to Charities Commission & Age UK Head Office- Oversight of Day Centre and it's staff- Grant applications for both businesses & oversight of finances with Chairman and Finance Manager.

Ladies clothing shop which I set up in 2005.I sold the shop as an on going concern in August 2011.

My business partner and I set up a Home Support Agency specialising in helping people with all aspects of care to enable them to live independently in their own home. Information and advice was provided directly as well as working alongside other agencies to help provide the most effective service to our clients on all aspects of social care.Advice and support to families with finding Residential and Nursing Home accommodation.I sold my 50% stake in the company in 2004.
