During my second summer as the Little Colorado River Basin intern I continued to expand my knowledge of native Arizona fish and their management. I have learned many field techniques and I am now confident executing native fish surveys and collecting data. Through this job I have learned how to navigate remote areas of the state and what it takes to be a native fish biologist.

While working, I performed duties such as: fish population monitoring, nonnative fish removals, fish collection and transport, stream habitat analysis, driving 4x4 vehicles, data entry, using GPS for navigation, and transporting/cleaning equipment.
