At Medtronic, I work within cross-functional teams to maintain and/or update clinician manuals and patient-facing technical literature for medical devices. This involves applying company-wide quality procedures as well as staying up-to-date on relevant (inter)national regulations. My work demands that I work closely with subject matter experts in team meetings in order to subsequently distill information carefully and accurately when making technical literature updates. I manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain strong communication with all functional partners throughout the duration of the project(s).

Portland, Maine Area

I served as a SARSSM Volunteer Advocate, in which capacity I provided resources and trauma-informed support over the phone to individuals affected by sexual violence. I also provided in-person advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence during SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Exam) exams at the hospital as well as in-person support and advocacy to individuals making reports to police about their experiences of sexual violence. I completed 40 hours of sexual assault advocacy training in the fall of 2019.I also served as a volunteer member on SARSSM's Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) programming committee. This committee coordinated multiple SAAM events, including a Primary Prevention Panel and a Take Back the Night march and rally. (Postponed due to COVID)

I taught multiple sections of English 110: English Composition. This included classroom instruction as well as syllabus and curriculum development. I designed this course to empower students as readers as well as writers, emphasizing: 1. The recursive nature of writing and argumentation, 2. The need for thoughtful engagement with others' ideas, 3. Active reading as part of the writing process.Through the Student Academic Success Center (SASC), I also provided individual and small-group instruction to English 110 students who demonstrated need for support outside of the classroom.

I taught introductory classes such as:-Introduction to Literature (with emphasis on literary genre)-Laughter and Literature through the Ages (with emphasis on the ethics of comedy)-University Writing (with emphasis on both personal narrative and formal research and argumentation)I taught upper level seminars such as:-Shakespeare (with emphasis on gender and violence)-British Literatures I (with emphasis on developing a theory of the premodern)-Textual Analysis and Methods (with emphasis on Literary Theory)-The Essay (with emphasis on a creative, multimodal final project)

During this one-year appointment, I helped plan, organize, and facilitate the 3-day teaching orientation for new graduate students. This orientation involved sessions about: pedagogical theory, challenges in the classroom, productive classroom debate, grading practices, and syllabus development.I also designed and facilitated small classes for new instructors to learn and discuss elements of pedagogy at the university level. These small classes met weekly for one semester and served as a space in which we discussed literature related to pedagogy, discussed any challenges or successes these new instructors were having in the classroom, and workshopped syllabi and assignments.

Through the MacNamara Academic Center (Now the Lindahl Academic Center) I provided ongoing one-on-one and small group mentorship and academic support to student athletes.

I served as senior member of the Technology, Research, and Communication (TRAC) Program at Lehigh University. This program provides writing and research support to faculty and students across all collegiate disciplines. In this capacity, I:-Worked closely with Director of the TRAC Writing Fellows Program in determining the direction and nature of program growth and development. -Supervised twenty members of the program; provided individual guidance and support, collected and distributed essential information, and tracked performance. -Organized and led opening and closing events designed to foster community building within the TRAC Fellow cohort. -Organized and lead staff meetings and workshops designed to help TRAC fellows continually improve effectiveness as writing tutors. -Attended weekly meetings with Director to address both administrative and programmatic tasks related to TRAC. -Interviewed and hired undergraduate students to collaborate with both professors and students to help improve the quality of undergraduate writing at Lehigh. -Scheduled events/meetings and developed calendar for TRAC staff.

I was hired as a writing fellow within the TRAC program, which is designed to promote and strengthen Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at Lehigh University. I worked with individual professors each semester to strengthen and clarify course writing assignments and syllabi. I edited student drafts for content and conferenced individually with students to discuss how to substantially improve their papers. I assisted student teams with research intensive collaborative writing projects through paper editing and group conferencing. This position also involved attending learning-intensive bi-weekly staff meetings and workshops.
