At Medtronic, I work within cross-functional teams to maintain and/or update clinician manuals and patient-facing technical literature for medical devices. I served as a SARSSM Volunteer Advocate, in which capacity I provided resources and trauma-informed support over the phone to individuals affected by sexual violence. I also provided in-person advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence during SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Exam) exams at the hospital as well as in-person support and advocacy to individuals making reports to police about their experiences of sexual violence. I completed 40 hours of sexual assault advocacy training in the fall of 2019.I also served as a volunteer member on SARSSM's Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) programming committee. This committee coordinated multiple SAAM events, including a Primary Prevention Panel and a Take Back the Night march and rally. (Postponed due to COVID)
Adjunct Professor Of English
I taught multiple sections of English 110: English Composition. This included classroom instruction as well as syllabus and curriculum development. I designed this course to empower students as readers as well as writers, emphasizing: 1. The recursive nature of writing and argumentation, 2. During this one-year appointment, I helped plan, organize, and facilitate the 3-day teaching orientation for new graduate students. I was hired as a writing fellow within the TRAC program, which is designed to promote and strengthen Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) at Lehigh University. I assisted student teams with research intensive collaborative writing projects through paper editing and group conferencing.
