From May 2019 to July 2019, I have the great opportunity to perform as a team lead for Denver Parks and Recreation's Summer in the Parks summer program at Great Lawn Park. I help my team develop and execute lesson plans for a five hour, five days a week summer program, while communicating regularly with parents and my supervisor about development of program activities and special excursions. I send a weekly calendar detailing the activities that will be performed throughout the week to my supervisor, instructors, and parents/guardians of Summer in the Parks participants.

I've been trained as cashier, in clerical assignments like organization of payroll and compliance filing, in ship from store packaging and fulfillment, and to complete sales plans. It is my hope that I could work in some capacity sometime to contribute directly to corporate social responsibility in communities in our country and others. I am always open to learning more and gaining valuable experience. I appreciate all of the opportunities for training and learning. If I don't know how to do something, then I"ll learn.

Gueoul, Senegal & Denver, Colorado

This year I was given the opportunity to project manage the second annual Friends of Gueoul English Summer School. To prepare for the Summer School, I presented at numerous functions about this projects to ESL expert communities in Denver. I gathered and sorted donated materials for project use from ESL professionals in the greater Denver Area. I made the scheduling for the English Teachers for the Summer School, and I will be traveling with two ESL professionals to implement the project components in Summer 2017.

Gueoul, Senegal

Friends of Gueoul is a nonprofit organization that has been providing scholarships to financially burdened young girls in Gueoul, Senegal. Since its inception in the early 2000s, Friends of Gueoul has been contributing to the community of Gueoul by providing educational resources to include donated materials, an after school Noos Club, and, starting August 1st, a Conversational English Summer School. My job was to help create curriculum for the ESL camp, as well perform an evaluation for the camp in this first year.

I volunteered with a brand new nonprofit dedicated to serving the population of persons with Multiple Sclerosis. I performed numerous tasks when needed.

Assisting graduate professors within the IIC program at Denver University with any tasks that they ask regarding their research (i.e. photocopying, APA guidelines or helping to edit their writing, providing insight into their studies, etc.). As an Internship assistant I would search for internship opportunities within and outside of the Denver, CO area for graduate and undergraduate students. A duty that I have to complete each week, as an internship assistant, is to update our Special Opportunities page on the school's department website.

I taught two classes at Le Du Du Kindergarten in Beijing, China. I was the English teacher for children from age 3-5 years old. I would teach the classes by subject matter and aid in teaching them the English alphabet, as well as phonics of the English language. In doing so, I would speak in Chinese, as well, but only when students were confused about the meaning of English words in their primary language.

I would check out customers and maintain my workstation. During downtime, I would help stock shelves and bag groceries for other cashiers. After a few months of working as a cashier, I was being trained on the Customer Service Desk where I took returns and made Western Union money orders.

I was part of a team of social media interns. We wrote blurbs and participated in a social media campaign that used memes to generate a social media presence. I showed initiative by volunteering to take on other tasks to include creating a spreadsheet detailing social media interns' traffic and rate for success.
