Preparations for Richard Whitehead's Run Across Britain

Responsible for Sport Services planning and delivery to the Sailing Competition for London 2012's Olympic and Paralympic Games.Collaborated in the planning and operation of the Sailing competitions including liaison with the International Federation and advisor to other LOCOG departments in the sport specific planning requirements. Management of the Services team including Athlete and Technical Officials Services, Sport Information, International Federation. Lead in the planning, delivery and operation of all sailing workforce including scoping, reviewing, selection, training and management.

Lead venue manager for The Extreme Sailing Series Istanbul and Senior Communications Account Manager across the Series. Left sooner than planned to join London 2012.I worked closely with the contracted event delivery partner in Istanbul to ensure we delivered consistency across all venues in the series while also allowing the event a local identity. Liaised with event partners nationally and internationally working to honour all contract deliverables.In addition to venue responsibilities I worked on the communications strategy and outputs across the series. This included the international press launch of the series and promoting specific events across the range of communication disciplines

Coordinated the design, consultation and implementation of the team’s brand identity.Delivered the 1851 Cup Event specifically focused on VIP hospitality and event promotion.Developed and coordinated the media and online strategy for the team including creative social media campaign planning and implementation.Contributed to sponsor fulfillment across events and hospitality.Lead on the marketing of special projects to maximize image and profile of the team.Implemented the media liaison strategy and worked to continually identify and leverage media marketing opportunities.

Lead on Press, Communications, Events and Planning for the Secretary General’s Office responsible for strategy and implementation of the Secretary Generals PR & public events.Office Manager, with two direct reports, providing senior level logistical support and high level coordination and communication with top tier internal and external stakeholders

Developed and led the public relations, communications and events strategy for the launch of The Unheard Truth, the Secretary Generals flagship publication as well as project managing the tour and events schedule across English language markets including USA, Canada, UK, Australia and South Korea generating worldwide coverage such as Reuters, the Financial Times and CNNConceptualize, manage and deliver special events and unique projects for Amnesty International such as the Ambassador of Conscience annual Award and a further diverse range of special events delivered on time and within budgetConceptualize, produce and manage the special events programme for Amnesty’s bi-annual International Council Meeting, a major international conference for over 400 delegates (2007 Mexico, 2009 Turkey). Delivered the 2006 International Youth Worlds event for 280 sailors (63 nations) at the London 2012 sailing venue in Weymouth as well as the RYA’s flagship Sail for Gold Olympic Class Regatta 2007 & 2008 with lead responsibility for sport services, volunteer coordination, and working closely with IF officials. Managed international events logistics for World Class Programme Youth Squad sailors and their coaches. Identified training venues, managed contracts and arranged training camps.Liaised with 6 Zone High Performance Managers, external coaches and sport science specialists as well as 12 Youth class associations to ensure the professional delivery of youth sailing in the UK
