As the founder of an innovative jewellery and silversmithing school and training programme in Scotland, I have spent over a decade working with students, graduates, professional jewellers, trade and designers, to provide a thriving community that facilitates creativity and empowers through making. I have worked in a formal education environment, collaborating and working with colleagues to design and implement workshops, lectures, seminars and assessments. As a result of this, and combined with my experience of setting up and running numerous creative businesses and projects, I am confident in my ability to lead and manage.Empowerment, communication, collaboration and storytelling are the connecting themes throughout my creative career and I have used these skills in many settings including marketing for a social enterprise, curating engaging exhibitions, teaching at various levels and managing a design community.
