Katherine Adler is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at University of New Hampshire. She possess expertise in soldering, matlab, latex, arcgis, igor pro and 6 more skills. The work she supports as a TA training consultant and particularly as our ELI TA Fellow is centered around collaborative practices. Facilitating collaborative practice and work takes real leadership, and Katie can lead from the 'head' or from the 'side' and knows the value of each leadership style. These skills are all transferable to working with groups in any situation. Katie is also dedicated to understanding the inequities in education opportunities and practices for women and other under-represented minorities (URM). These strengths are also critical for someone in a lead role of a diverse research group, classroom, or office environment. She and I have had the opportunity to discuss ideas and her knowledge in these areas and I have been incredibly impressed by her understanding and articulation of the challenges and of some of the practices that can be used to help improve equity.
