I am an ambitious and passionate Secondary School English teacher currently working in London, after recently returning from five years teaching in Shanghai. Part time, I am completing my PHD in English at King's College London. As a teacher, I am dedicated to delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that simultaneously support students and challenge the most able. I enjoy the teaching of both language and literature and have particularly enjoyed teaching IB Literature, with its emphasis on global texts and perspectives. My passion lies in creating innovative classes and using the knowledge gained from my MA in English Education, to continually expand my teaching repertoire and diversify my approach to texts. I believe my experience teaching in both London and Shanghai, where I have held the respective positions of Literacy Coordinator and Vice Head of Department, has given me wide-ranging experience, whilst also giving me an opportunity to lead whole-school initiatives and assist the development of teaching and learning.
