Researched, designed, implemented, and actively run the Law-Related Services Program. I designed the Law-Related Services Program on behalf of 3Strands Global Foundation to address the justice gap in California faced by survivors of human trafficking that utilize 3Strand Global Foundation direct services.Create and distribute program documents for the Law-Related Services Program to ensure consistency, accuracy, and that service delivery falls within the regulatory framework allowed by non-lawyers in California.Collect, analyze, and improve programming based on qualitative and quantitative client feedback.Conduct outreach activities and build relationships with members of the private bar, Self-Help Centers, and legal service organizations throughout Northern California.Spearhead compliance initiatives on behalf of the organization, including mandated reporting audits, drop-in-center permitting, and other operational best practices related to survivor data.

Represented victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in order of protection cases, divorce cases and custody cases.Researched complex legal issues for survivors’ cases.Advised survivors on the criminal process.Advised survivors of their rights as victims under New Mexico law.Conducted outreach with law enforcement, prosecutors, local shelters, and other resource providers.

Monitored Unite Us to ensure compliance with network standards.Seamlessly communicated with community-based organizations to ensure that clients gain access to resources.Assisted in reorganizing and optimizing networks like Unite Ohio to ensure that all network patterns are tracked and reported to ensure positive client outcomes. This included creating a new system to track the Unite Ohio workflow.

Researched, planned, and implemented the Public Benefits Program.Assisted with policy research and advocacy efforts related to source of income discrimination and eviction sealing efforts. Policy efforts included supervising a source of income study and presenting those findings at the civil legal services committee meeting (a statewide coalition group).Conducted agency training for Medicaid and Medicare enrollment.Researched, planned, and implemented the SOAR Program to increase access to SSI/SSDI for persons experiencing homelessness.Represented SOAR clients in their SSI/SSDI proceedings.Supervisory duties included supervising Medical Records and Public Benefits Teams.Implemented tracking system in AHCH’s electronic health record to track public benefits (including recertification, appeals, and denials).Participated in strategic planning meetings, client leadership committee meetings, and board policy meetings.Conducted ongoing programmatic planning activities including quality and compliance measures, budgeting, and strategic planning.Planned, implemented, and supervised the first “Tax Clinic” event to ensure access to economic impact payments for those experiencing homelessness. The Tax Clinic necessitated training across all levels of the organization and intentional collaboration with external organizations like United Way.

Researched and assisted in creating a statewide policy map outlining the use of inclusive school policies across Ohio in conjunction with GLSEN.Created and distributed school policy memorandums for K-12 schools across Ohio.Assisted in client intake for the Equality Ohio Legal Clinic.Drafted client documents and supported the Southwest Staff Attorney with her caseload.Organized virtual legal clinic events and coordinated strategic statewide outreach efforts.
