I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Spring 2023 with Cum Laude from Farmingdale State College in 3 years. I was enrolled in the Science Technology Society program emphasizing in Pre-Health. I applied to 3 DPT Programs this up coming cycle. I interviewed for NYIT, Mercy University, and was granted an interview for Dominican University, which I declined due to acceptance to Mercy. In 2018 at 16 years old, I got my first job at Stop & Shop, and have been there ever since. They are very understanding of my busy schedule. I learned a lot of people skills that help me with one on one patients I will see. Learning the foundations of a company and a business, makes me thrive to create my own business one day. Being motivated is one thing I draw myself to on a daily basis. At the beginning of the 2021 school year, I applied for a Physical Therapy Aide job at PRN Physical Therapy in Holbrook, NY. I worked there for three months and developed so much knowledge from the physical therapist and from my other coworkers. I learned the environment, and the fundamental units of working in an office with patients. I learned many anatomy terms, and physical therapy exercises I had yet to learn in school. The office unfortunately closed, so I started working with Advanced Orthopedics in Patchogue, NY. We converted to a NYU Langone affiliate in July 2023 where I began full-time. I am so looking forward to all these awesome opportunities working for a big company as a full time rehabilitation aide! I am constantly working every day of the week to learn more about helping future patients, and working on customer satisfaction at the same point. Working in an orthopedic affiliate, I am more bound to my love of sports and sports related physical therapy. Creating my own company or working for a professional sports team is one of my lifelong dreams. I can’t thank my experience from Stop & Shop for a business aspect or my PT offices for experience as I proceed my dreams. I’m so excited for my next chapter in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Mercy University!
