Recent zoology graduate from Humboldt State University with a passion for wildlife conservation. My academic interests and experience includes ecology, mammalogy, fisheries biology, animal physiology, and botany. I have successfully completed research projects mainly with peers and some instructional guidance. To give an example, some projects included measuring aboral diameter of sea stars at two different locations along the N. California coast, calculating protein and chlorophyll content of a local species of fern and one invasive species in the Arcata community forest, and antimicrobial effects of isolated prodigiosin in comparison to common antibiotics. Each research project concluded with statistical analysis using Excel and R Studio which was then presented to professors and peers in the class.Currently, I am looking for a position that allows me to utilize my skills and continue to participate in field and lab oriented research projects. I am also very passionate in educating the public, mostly the younger generations, about the various species around us and the importance of conversation. I believe educating the public on wildlife conservation is a necessary step to help our local and global wildlife to thrive for many years.
