I live in Arizona and am currently doing part-time grant consulting. Most recently, I worked full-time for Rescue Mission Alliance, a So. Cal. based non-profit. I have held the position of Grants Officer since 2014. Prior to that, I was the organization’s Project and Marketing Manager starting in 2007. I previously worked for the Los Angeles Mission for almost ten years as Project Manager for Operations and Facilities, then as Facility Manager. I also did a brief stint with the Salvation army in accounting.Rescue Mission Alliance (RMA) started in 1972 as a men’s shelter, which is now the Ventura County Rescue Mission. Recognizing the need for services for families and for women and children, the Rescue Mission Alliance started the Lighthouse for Women & Children in Oxnard in 1997 and the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission for families in 1998. To further meet the needs of the hungry, the Valley Food Bank was established in 2001 in the San Fernando Valley. In August 2003, Central Coast Rescue Mission in Santa Maria came under the wing of Rescue Mission Alliance, and in February 2008, the Victor Valley Rescue Mission in Victorville joined the Rescue Mission Alliance family. I was the entire grant department for the organization.Personally, I am the wife of a retired pastor/turning author. (I am helping edit his books) Mother of two, grandmother of eight. Living on the edge of the Prescott National Pine Forest with lots of wildlife and beautiful weather. I relocated to Prescott in January 2020 and was fortunate to bring my job with me. I led a county-wide support group for people with Celiac Disease for almost 18 years and had an internationally recognized website. I sing, do puppetry (not so much lately), do biblical mentoring and teaching, and have spoken at women’s retreats.
