Kathy Grant Email and Phone Number
Throughout my nursing career, I worked in different outpatient settings where I was referred to as an “out of the box thinker.” A trend began to develop where my bosses frequently recommended top administrators listen to my proposed resolutions for their healthcare industry dilemmas. Feedback from peers, administrators, and patients inspired me to figure out where the obstacles or missing pieces were and make connections leading to solutions. I look at the current impasse including abandoned perspectives, untapped resources, as well as new pathways to figure out what angles best lead to success. Some of my favorite perplexities to tackle are:“It’s always been that way”“We tried that before and it didn’t work”“Someone mentioned that solution in the past and nothing ever happened”“The pile of good intentions”I’m enthusiastic about the challenge of examining these aspects and what needs to be done to set the wheels in motion. The greatest benefit is meeting the needs of patients and reaching what’s important to them. Some of the strong problem solving solutions I’ve presented was a procedure to decrease inpatient AMA discharges, enhancement of services, connecting patients with treatment and supportive resources, implementing new programs, streamlining Electronic Health Record screens to improve efficiency, expanding patient screenings, developing a clinical growth ladder to retain and attract RNs to our facility, assisting in creating marketing brochures, improving referrals within our system, and incorporating alternative medicine services. My strengths are effective creativity in the ever-changing world of healthcare, time management, organization, and teamwork. With an approachable style, I enjoy bringing out the enthusiasm in others, tapping into and utilizing their strengths and knowledge while openly recognizing their contribution. I appreciate designing solutions on my own or with collaboration of team members and watching our ideas come to life with successful results.I aspire to continue contributing to improvement and broadening of services tailored to the needs and goals of patients as well as enhanced organizational growth opportunities.Let’s connect to discuss development possibilities in healthcare or a penchant for sports!
