Coordinates operations of allied health staff for the Division of Pulmonary Medicine and the Center for Sleep Medicine in alignment with institutional and department/division mission, vision, and objectives. Serves as a key member of the leadership team with a primary focus on planning and implementation of policies and systems. Facilitates project management while leading a multidisciplinary team including financial analysis, problem solving, and team collaboration. Regulates staffing in accordance with fluctuating workload. Partners in the support of department/division and institutional projects, staff recruitment, policy implementation, and serves as a primary resource for issues and communications. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of management issues. Direct reports include operational and clinical supervisors.

• Promote organizational core values and support community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the facilitation and coordination of services to client outreach programs• Project management, including evaluating, planning, coordinating resources and developing client outreach programs• Communicate effectively to and work with multiple levels within a healthcare organization (CEO, CFO, Medical Directors, Laboratory Administration and Laboratory Operations)• Identify market opportunities and community needs • Improve knowledge and serve as an organizational resource by facilitating communication• Understand and respond to clients’ business challenges by providing enhanced solutions• Manage several projects or tasks simultaneously while exercising appropriate judgments regarding prioritizing projects

• Act as technical consultant to external clients, Regional Sales Managers and Regional Service Representatives to positively impact patient care• Liaison between external clients, Regional Sales Managers and Regional Service Representatives and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Laboratories• Partner with various organizational representatives to investigate, advise, consult and implement solutions to address external client needs• Perform on-site operational assessment consultation of external client pre- and post-analytic functions; provide written report and verbal summation of the findings and suggestions for enhanced outcomes• Manage and lead Laboratory Customer Service training at external client sites.

• Responsible for overall management and day-to-day operational oversight of Renal Biopsy and Pathology Specimen Processing Laboratories• Perform annual budget forecasting and monthly financial oversight• Coordinate laboratory operations between testing areas, referral sites and Consulting Staff• Active involvement in hiring and training personnel• Successful development and implementation of standard operating procedures, document control and review process• Implement Quality System Essentials and key Quality Framework oversight• Project Management and oversight of laboratory construction and remodeling projects• Leadership and active participation on Continuous Improvement Committee and teams
